VisCon 2019 at the NGV
Visual Communication Victoria conferences are a highlight to the year for those of us on VCV Council and VCV members. We plan the theme, location, speakers, give-aways, activities and catering with excitement and enthusiasm. At the conference, we love to see the networking that happens and the connection that teachers have with each other over the shared love of VCD.
VisCon will be going ahead in 2023, towards the latter part of the year. More details will be made available in the coming weeks.

A special thank you to Dr Brandon Gien for an inspiring keynote. It is always good to ask a busy (and talented) person to do something...and I appreciate that even though Brandon was flying out of the country the next day, he was able to come to Melbourne and inspire us all.
Thank you to Wayne Thompson for an informative and entertaining presentation about typography and the design of ABC Sans.
Thank you to Theresa Powles and Ewan McEoin from the NGV, for sharing their extensive knowledge and passion of Design.
Thank you to the Council members who presented - Natasha Borg, Janet Irving, Jo Lombardo, Kelly Smith, Ric Roberts, Geoff Baker, De Leggo and David Morrison. And thank you to Council who assisted on the day to ensure that the day ran smoothly - Melissa Avery, Mini Goss, Jeanette Fletcher, Anne Garofalo and Iolanthe Iezzi.
Thank you to Kathy Hendy-Ekers for keeping us up to date with VCAA matters.
Thank you to Svetlana Bodrina, finance manager, who ensures that our finances are in order and that we can continue to run our events in such great places like the NGV.
Thanks to the President of VCV, Geoff Baker, who appears to be calm and collected all day as he introduces, inspires and rewards with the lucky draw!
Finally, thank you to the VCV members, who are always so friendly and positive! We appreciate that everyone is busy, and we are grateful that you continue to support VCV events.
